Article Retraction & Withdrawal Policy
Jurnal Attashnif is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Retraction and withdrawal procedures are implemented to correct the literature and ensure transparency in academic publishing. This policy follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Article Withdrawal Policy (Before Publication)
Authors may request withdrawal of a submitted manuscript before it is officially published (online or in issue form). Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to the editorial office and include clear justification.
Withdrawal may be granted under the following conditions:
Manuscript contains significant errors affecting validity.
Ethical concerns are identified during review.
Duplicate submission is discovered.
Technical or administrative errors occur during submission.
Once a manuscript has entered the peer-review process, withdrawal requests are subject to editorial approval. Repeated or unjustified withdrawal requests may result in temporary submission restrictions.
Article Retraction Policy (After Publication)
An article may be retracted after publication if:
Proven plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification is identified.
Serious methodological or analytical errors invalidate the results.
Ethical violations are confirmed.
Duplicate or redundant publication is detected.
Legal issues such as copyright infringement arise.
Retraction decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the editorial board and reviewers when necessary.
Retraction Procedure
The retraction process follows these steps:
Investigation
The editorial team conducts an internal review based on reported concerns or detected misconduct.
Author Notification
Authors are informed and given an opportunity to respond.
Editorial Decision
A final decision is made based on evidence and ethical guidelines.
Retraction Notice Publication
A retraction notice is published in the journal and linked to the original article. The notice clearly states the reason for retraction.
Article Status Update
The original article remains accessible for transparency but is clearly marked as “Retracted” in all formats (PDF and HTML).
Corrections and Expressions of Concern
In cases where retraction is not required, the journal may issue:
Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum) for minor errors that do not affect the main findings.
Expression of Concern if an investigation is ongoing but unresolved.
Transparency and Ethical Commitment
All retraction and withdrawal actions are conducted transparently and documented in accordance with COPE standards. Jurnal Attashnif ensures that editorial decisions are objective, fair, and free from conflicts of interest.
