Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
Jurnal Attashnif applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and academic integrity of all published manuscripts. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
Review Workflow
Initial Submission
Authors submit manuscripts through the Online Journal System (OJS). Submissions must comply with the journal’s scope, template, and author guidelines.
Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or Section Editor conducts an initial screening to evaluate the manuscript’s relevance, originality, similarity index, and compliance with ethical and technical requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be rejected at this stage.
Similarity Check
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software (Turnitin). The maximum acceptable similarity index is 30%.
Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
Peer Review Process
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope. Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations.
Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ reports, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
Accept
Minor Revision
Major Revision
Reject
Author Revision
Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ and editors’ comments and resubmit the revised version within the specified timeframe.
Final Evaluation
The editor evaluates the revised manuscript. Additional review rounds may be conducted if necessary.
Copyediting and Layout
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and layout editing stages to ensure language quality, formatting consistency, and publication readiness.
Publication
The final version is published online in the scheduled issue of Jurnal Attashnif.
Review Ethics
Jurnal Attashnif upholds ethical standards in the peer review process, including confidentiality, objectivity, conflict of interest disclosure, and academic integrity. Reviewers and editors are required to adhere to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
